Advent Diocesan Retreat “Longing for Jesus.”

The Archdiocese of Cardiff and Diocese of Menevia invite everyone to an Advent Retreat day on Saturday
3rd December 2022 hosted at St David’s Catholic College, Cardiff CF23 5QD from 10:30am to 15:00pm (registration at 10:00am) There will be two talks, imaginative contemplation and silent prayer before the Blessed Sacrament.

The core theme of the retreat will be centred upon our shared spiritual journey from perceived anguish and darkness, felt in so many different ways in our lives, to peace and freedom in Christ. We will begin as we begin in all things with the ‘longing for Jesus’ and journey towards the spiritual place of Bethlehem (a very real place in our interior lives) where the baby Jesus lovingly awaits our arrival for adoration before Him.

The retreat is free and lunch will be provided. The retreat is being facilitated by Rev. Christian Mahoney who is the diocesan representative on the Spirituality Committee of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales.

Please let family and friends know about the retreat day. It is even on a Saturday!

Tea and coffee morning

There will be a Tea/Coffee Morning on Friday 14th August in the parish hall between 10.30am and 12pm. Everyone is invited and why not bring a friend.  Cake, biscuits and other food will be available. If you would like to assist in organising this event please see Stephen.
