Mgr Joseph Cefai to resign from Ecclesiastical Ministry. Archbishop Mark thanks Mgr Joe for his many years of priestly ministry

and dedicated service at parish and diocesan level and wishes him a long and happy retirement;


• Canon Barry English from Merthyr to Port Talbot & Cwmavon;

• Fr Elliot Hanson as Assistant Priest at Port Talbot & Cwmavon and as chaplain to St Joseph's Comprehensive School;

• Fr Clement Oloruntoba OP from Gorseinon/ Pontarddulais to be in residence at Mumbles

and to retain chaplaincy at Swansea Prison and Singleton Hospital;

• Fr Carlito Reyes from Sketty to Gorseinon/ Pontarddulais;

• Fr John Browne to take on pastoral care of Sketty (in addition to Dunvant);

• St David's Priory to assume responsibility for university chaplaincy in Swansea

We are in need of a volunteer to co-ordinate the parish hall bookings. This entails speaking to potential users of the hall, arranging for the contract to be completed prior to signing by the parish priest and arranging for the hall to be opened and closed before and after use. This is not a time consuming role but vital in terms of parish income. The volunteer will be required from the beginning of September 25. If you are interested speak to Stephen

The Sacrament of Confirmation : If you are in Y9 - Y13 and want to take part in the autumn Confirmation preparation programme starting in October 25, please complete an application form, which can be found in the porch and then speak to Fr Clement/Fr Carlito. Application forms need to be received by the end of September 25 .

St Vincent de Paul (SVP) News The Annual Matthew Mulchay sponsored walk takes place on Sunday 28th September 25 at 2pm from Brangwyn Hall. This is in aid of South Sudan Baby feeding Stations.
