Services during Lent 2026

On the 7th June 26 during Sunday morning mass at 10.30am Fr. Clement will undertake First Holy Communion to our Communion class led by Mary Roberts. As is tradition there will be a First Holy Communion breakfast in the hall after mass. If you can contribute to the food required there is a list of what is required in the porch. Please remember all the children in your prayers.

Every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month in the Gorseinon Parish Hall. Doors open at 1.30pm, film to start at 2pm Film Club on Thursday June 11th will be very different. We've been asked to show a thriller with not too much blood in it!! We have chosen a good one, I think. It's called the opposite of "The Man in corridor -10“

On 14th June 2026, the Sacrament of Confirmation will be conferred by Archbishop Mark at the 10.30am mass. There will be tea, coffee and cake after mass in the hall. If you can assist with the provision of cakes, helping on the day with serving tea or coffee, wash up etc please see Marie-Louise Smith who will be coordinating the provision of tea and coffee. There is also a need to have a general clean of the church and hall, church grounds and garden. If you can assist with any of these see Stephen.

Our Lady’s Lamp - Intentions week commencing 7th June 2026 Blessed Sacrament No intention St Bride’s No intention If you wish Our Lady’s Lamp to be lit for a loved one or an intention, please let us know. A donation of £5 is suggested and the candle will be lit all week in the church

Please Note : There will be no weekday mass this week as Fr Clement is away. All mass intentions will be moved to another date.

The following are the details of Fr. Jason Jones RIP funeral: Reception into Church (No Mass) - 4th June at 6pm at Sacred Heart, Morriston. Celebrated by Canon Paul Watson. Requiem Mass - 5th June at 11am at St Joseph’s CoCathedral, Swansea. Celebrated by Archbishop Mark O’Toole.

There will be Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament with an opportunity for confession on Sunday 31st May 2026 between 9.30am and 10.25am in Blessed Sacrament Church followed by Mass at 10.30am.

Dear all, Many thanks to everyone who brought or bought plants at our recent plant sale. We are pleased to say we raised £149.85 for church funds. If possible, please could you return the plastic cell trays. There are also a few plants left in the hall for sale as well as cabbage and leek plants. If you are interested see Stephen.
