 New Paragraph

November is the month of Holy Souls. Envelopes are available in the porch for you to place a list of your deceased family, friends and anyone for whom you wish to pray. Holy Mass will be offered for them during the month of November. “Have pity on me, at least you my friends, for the hand of the Lord has touched me”

If you’ve been following our Youth Instagram account, you’ll have noticed something’s changed. We’re stepping forward with a renewed vision and a new name: Emmaus Catholic Youth. This isn’t just a rebrand. It’s a declaration of what we believe youth ministry should be: a journey of accompaniment, rooted in one of the most powerful encounters in Scripture – the road to Emmaus (Luke 24:13-35). Journey With Us To all young people (13-17) we would like to invite you to our launch event “Emmaus Discover Youth Retreat” on 23rd November, 2025 at St David’s Catholic Sixth-Form College for a day of fun, prayer, friendship and an opportunity to discover the person of Jesus who always walks with us. Use this link to register: https://rcadc.org/emmaus-discover-youth-retreat/ To all young people (18-35): please keep an eye out for “Emmaus Encounter Retreat” which will be launching soon! We are in need of assistance to run the film club which is held every second and fourth Thursday of the month. Volunteers would be expected to help with the setting up of beverages, washing up and cleaning tables after the film. There is also a need for a volunteer to help with the setting up of the laptop for the film when the current volunteer is away. Full training can be given. If you can help see either Sue or David Doherty.

This new group is being formed by a parishioner to enable those who would like to come together to pray the rosary. The group will meet in the Blessed Sacrament church on the first Saturday of the month commencing on Saturday 6th December at 11am. Everyone is welcome. If you haven’t got rosary beads they are available in the repository.

We are in need of a volunteer to co-ordinate the parish hall bookings. This entails speaking to potential users of the hall, arranging for the contract to be completed prior to signing by the parish priest and arranging for the hall to be opened and closed before and after use. This is not a time consuming role but vital in terms of parish income. The volunteer will be required from the beginning of September 25. If you are interested speak to Stephen
